THE BLEEDING YANKEE BLUE MERCH EXPLOSION

I have to admit, this has gotten a little out of control. In a good way.

If you've looked at the Bleeding Yankee Blue Store lately, you probably noticed something: this isn't just a handful of BYB shirts anymore. The store has exploded with new designs, new collections and some wonderfully strange ideas—and that's exactly where I wanted it to go.

Look at what we're doing now.

CLICK TO SHOP

We've got the traditional Bleeding Yankee Blue gear—the classic shirts, tanks, hoodies and game-day stuff that represents this blog and the Yankee fans who have supported us since 2010.

But then things get interesting.

We've got our Mafia Collection, mixing Italian-American attitude, humor and old-school imagery into shirts you aren't going to see hanging next to the generic baseball tees at the mall.

CLICK TO SHOP

We've expanded our holiday selection.  We are working on Christmas, Thanksgiving, even Easter designs!  We got St. Patrick's Day BYB gear, patriotic designs, women's styles, rugged baseball shirts and plenty of classic Bleeding Yankee Blue looks.

And then there are the designs I probably enjoy the most—the weird, obscure baseball stuff.

Bernie. The Boss. Old baseball references. Inside jokes. Designs that might make a baseball fan stop, look at your shirt and need three seconds before saying:

"Oh my God. I get it."

THAT'S what I want.

There is enough generic sports merchandise in the world.

I want Bleeding Yankee Blue merchandise to have some personality. Sports mixed with humor. Baseball mixed with nostalgia. Yankee culture mixed with things we grew up with, things we remember and things that simply make us laugh.

Some of these designs are going to be very different from anything you're used to seeing in sports merchandise.

Good. Bleeding Yankee Blue has been different since 2010. We started as an independent, grassroots Yankee blog built around one simple thing: being fans. No corporate voice. No pretending everything is wonderful when it isn't. We celebrate the Yankees when they deserve it, blast them when they deserve that too, and we've always tried to have some fun along the way. The store is becoming a physical extension of that personality.

It's hosted through Dashery, powered by TeePublic, which gives independent creators like BYB a standalone shop while they handle manufacturing, shipping and customer support. That allows me to concentrate on what I enjoy most:

Coming up with the next idea. And believe me, some of them are pretty damn obscure. But the best part of all this remains the people who have been here all along.

You.

The Bleeding Yankee Blue audience has been incredibly loyal for nearly 16 years. You've read the blog, shared our stories, argued with me, laughed with me, celebrated wins and suffered through some absolutely ridiculous Yankee baseball. Now I'm seeing people wearing BYB.

That's pretty cool. So no, Bleeding Yankee Blue isn't "just getting started." We've been here since 2010. The difference is that now the store finally looks like us. Yankees. Baseball. Humor. Nostalgia. Italian attitude. Patriotism. Obscure references. And absolutely no interest in being ordinary.

That's Bleeding Yankee Blue.

Wear it. Live it. Have some fun with it.

FRIENDSHIP DAY'S COMING. GRAB SOMETHING FOR YOUR BUDDY

Yup, great deals here! Up to 27% off!

Listen... friendships come and go. Yankees fandom? That's forever.

With International Day of Friendship landing on July 30, we figured we'd celebrate the only way Bleeding Yankee Blue knows how—with some killer deals on merchandise you'll actually want to wear.

From now through July 31, our friends at Dashery are helping us hook up the greatest fan base on the planet with savings throughout the Bleeding Yankee Blue Store. So, here's the game plan: buy something for your best friend... and then buy something for yourself. We won't tell.

If you haven't visited the BYB Store lately, you're in for a surprise. Sure, we've got plenty of Yankees gear that screams pinstripe pride, but we've expanded the lineup in a big way.

We've got exclusive Bleeding Yankee Blue designs, patriotic America 250 apparel, hilarious shirts that'll get a laugh at the barbecue, Sopranos-inspired gear for the wise guys in the family, and a growing collection of designs that fit just about every personality.

In other words, you're going to find something. Probably more than one thing.

And here's the thing—we're not some giant corporate media machine trying to squeeze every last dollar out of you. Bleeding Yankee Blue has been doing this since September 2010. We are grassroots and attached to no major corporation. That's over 15 years of baseball, breaking news, hot takes, celebrations, meltdowns, and plenty of Aaron Boone debates.

And we are still here. Writers have come and go, but we have 3 three writers.

Your Chief. me, Robert Casey. Jeana Bellezza-Ochoa. Alvin Izzo.

That's it.

No army of writers. No billion-dollar sports network. Just three baseball fanatics who love the Yankees and love talking baseball with all of you. Because of your loyalty, Bleeding Yankee Blue has grown to nearly 9-million-page views. We've been recognized by Newsweek, featured in digital media textbooks as an example of successful independent sports blogging, and consistently ranked among the Top 10 independent Yankees blogs by outlets like Feedspot.

That's pretty incredible for three writers who simply refused to quit.

But none of those numbers matter nearly as much as the community we've built together. Thousands of you stop by every day because you know you'll get honest opinions, passionate baseball coverage, and zero corporate nonsense. That's what has always made Bleeding Yankee Blue different.

So now we're asking you to return the favor.

Visit the Bleeding Yankee Blue Store. HERE.
Browse around. Fill your cart. Grab a Yankees shirt, a patriotic design, a funny tee, or something that shows the world you're one of the original BYB Freaks. These Friendship Day deals only last through July 31, so don't wait until they're gone and then tell us you "meant to order."

Support independent baseball journalism. Support BYB. We still show up every day because they love this community. And while you're at it, treat yourself to some awesome merch at a great price.

To every single BYB Freak who's been with us for a week, a year, or since 2010... thank you. You're the reason we're still here, still writing, still laughing, and still bleeding Yankee blue.

Now stop reading... and start shopping.

We'll see you at the checkout.

16 YEARS OF HAPPINESS AT BLEEDING YANKEE BLUE, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!

Click to Buy

The amazing Laura Posada everyone! Look, if you’ve been around Yankees fans online for any amount of time, you’ve probably crossed paths with us here at Bleeding Yankee Blue. It’s one of those rare sports blogs that doesn’t feel like it was built in a corporate boardroom or optimized for algorithms—If you're a BYB Freak and with us from the beginning, you know that it was built by a diehard, me, who simply refused to shut up about the Yankees, and somehow managed to turn that energy into a full-on community.

Bleeding Yankee Blue has been around since 2010, and over time it’s become more than just a blog. It’s a personality-driven corner of the Yankees universe where opinion, humor, frustration, and optimism all collide in real time. The writing doesn’t try to sound detached or overly analytical. It sounds like fans talking the way fans actually talk—especially when the Yankees are either on a hot streak that makes you believe in destiny or going through a slump that makes you question everything from the lineup to the front office’s sanity. Jeana Bellezza-Ochoa and I tell you how it is!

Click to Buy

That authenticity is a big reason our readership has stuck. The people who follow Bleeding Yankee Blue aren’t casual scrollers—you're the ones who care deeply about the team, read every post, argue in the comments, share articles, and come back the next day ready for more. In other words, they’re diehards. And diehards don’t just consume content—they identify with it.

That’s where the merchandise comes in, and it’s also where things get interesting. Just want to be clear; The Bleeding Yankee Blue shop lives on TeePublic, through a creator storefront system powered by Dashery and TeePublic’s production platform. You can browse it directly HERE

Click to Buy

What stands out immediately when you scroll through the shop is that this isn’t standard-issue Yankees merchandise. It doesn’t feel like something you’d grab off a stadium rack next to a foam finger. It feels more like inside jokes, commentary, and fan culture translated into clothing.

Some designs lean into Yankees history and tradition, others tap into modern player narratives, and a lot of it carries that unmistakable Bleeding Yankee Blue tone—part humor, part opinion, part “I can’t believe they just did that.”

And here’s the thing that ties it all together: the fans who read Bleeding Yankee Blue actually wear this stuff. Not as a novelty. Not as a once-in-a-while gag shirt. But as part of their everyday Yankees identity. When you go to a game in the Bronx or walk through New York on a game day, you’ll see exactly the kind of energy BYB merch fits into—casual, opinionated, baseball-obsessed fan style that says more than just “I support the Yankees.” It says “We love BYB."

Click to Buy

That’s really the key to why Bleeding Yankee Blue merchandise connects the way it does. It’s not just about branding—it’s about belonging. When someone wears BYB gear, they’re signaling that they’re not just a Yankees fan, but a Yankees fan who pays attention, reacts, debates, and stays engaged with the team beyond the box score.

BYB's long-standing presence has helped build that identity. Since 2010, it has developed a consistent voice that readers recognize instantly. Over time, that kind of consistency creates loyalty, and loyalty eventually turns into community behavior—sharing posts, following updates, and yes, buying merch that represents the same voice they’ve been reading for years.

There’s also a practical side to it. TeePublic’s frequent discounts make the merchandise accessible, which matters in a fanbase as large and diverse as the Yankees’. Shirts, hoodies, mugs, and stickers often rotate through sales, which means fans can grab multiple pieces without overthinking it. That accessibility helps turn casual interest into actual ownership—people don’t just read Bleeding Yankee Blue, they bring it into their real-world wardrobe.

Click to Buy

And that’s where everything comes full circle. A grassroots Yankees blog becomes a fan voice. That voice builds a loyal audience. That audience becomes a community. And that community starts wearing the identity they’ve helped sustain.

Bleeding Yankee Blue works because it never tried to be anything other than what it is: a fan-run, opinionated, emotionally invested Yankees outlet. The merchandise just gives that identity something physical to live on outside the screen.

BLEEDING YANKEE BLUE MERCH ON DASHERY!

Let’s get one thing straight right out of the gate: Bleeding Yankee Blue didn’t climb out of the crowded Yankee blog jungle by playing nice, staying quiet, or asking permission.

We grew because we don’t. 16 years we are still here, despite the haters telling us one year would be it.

Look, we stayed true to ourselves. We’re not here to cozy up to the organization. We’re not here to nod along like dashboard bobbleheads and Jomboy every time the front office spins another “trust the process” speech. We’re here because we’re fans—the kind that actually watch the games, feel the losses, and don’t need a media guide to tell us what our eyes already know.

If the Yankees are dealing? We’ll scream it from the rooftops like it’s October in the Bronx.

If they’re flat, sloppy, uninspired, or just plain bad? We’ll call it out with receipts. No filter. No fear. No favors. And that’s exactly why people keep showing up.

Because in a world full of “access journalism” and soft takes designed not to ruffle feathers, BYB has become one of the fastest-growing grassroots Yankee voices by doing something radical—telling the truth. Not the curated truth. Not the “maybe if we say it gently, they’ll invite us back” version.

The real truth. We're not here to make friends. We're here because we believe in honest journalism and hard takes.

And here’s the kicker: that attitude isn’t just living on the page anymore—it’s walking around in the wild.

The Bleeding Yankee Blue merchandise Dashery has taken on a life of its own. What started as a fun extension of the brand has turned into something way bigger. The gear is everywhere—New York streets, stadium seats, random corners of the country—and fans are proudly sending in photos like they’ve joined a not-so-secret society of fed-up, die-hard Yankee loyalists.

This isn’t just merch.

It’s a statement.

It says: “I love this team… but I’m not blind.”

And that’s the balance BYB has always stood for. Because let’s be crystal clear—we love the players. The grind, the hustle, the moments that remind you why you fell in love with baseball in the first place? That still matters.

But the front office?

That’s where the patience runs out.

There’s a disconnect right now, and pretending otherwise is just insulting to the fans who invest their time, money, and sanity into this team. The decisions, the direction, the stubborn refusal to adjust—it’s not working. And deep down, everyone knows it.

So yeah, we’re saying it: this organization needs a new voice at the top. A new approach. A front office that actually matches the urgency of the fanbase. Because until that happens, all the talent in the world isn’t fixing what’s fundamentally broken.

That’s not being dramatic—that’s being honest.

And honesty is kind of our thing.

So, while the suits upstairs keep doing whatever it is they think they’re doing, we’ll be right here—writing, reacting, celebrating, venting… and building something real with fans who get it.

And if you’re one of those fans? Show it.

Hit the Dashery. Grab the gear. Wear it like armor. Send us your photos from wherever you are—Bronx, Brooklyn, Jersey, or halfway across the world. Because this thing we’ve built? It’s not just growing…

It’s spreading. Support the players. Love the game. Stay loud.

And as for the front office?

Yeah… we’ll keep the heat on.
