LATEST BOONE BABBLE MEANS THE YANKEES HAVE PICKED THEIR THIRD BASEMAN

We've all been waiting on pins and needles hoping the Yankees were going to make the final upgrade we need at third base. For the record, I will say the Yankees have made some nice upgrades to this team even if we don't get a shiny new third baseman. However, Aaron Boone is trying to sell us all on one of the options, but I'm not buying his Boone babble.

You can't always get what you want, and I understand that. It would be nice to have some fresh blood manning the hot corner, and if it doesn't happen I will get over it but....stop trying to push DJ LeMahieu as the renewed guy for the job, check it out HERE.

"I think a lot of people are counting out DJ," Boone said. "It wasn't long ago when DJ was one of the best hitters in the American League. I just want to remind people that the reason he hasn't is because he's not been healthy. With health, we think there's that great hitter still in there a little bit."

What an odd sentence to end with...."there's that great hitter still in there a little bit." The Yankees can't afford to rely on a great hitter that is still in there a little bit. It's been five years since we saw LeMahieu the great hitter consistently. That's not something that is just going to magically come back even with health. Sorry Baboonie, but that's just crazy.

If this isn't flashbacks to when Baboonie tried to sell us the same crap with Josh Donaldson then I don't know what is. Donaldson never bounced back, and as much as I want to believe things can be different for LeMahieu it's just not realistic. It's also really annoying to listen to more Boone babble.

At the end of the day though, it's what we are used to. He's made many dumb comments before and he's no where near close to being done making them. He's going to defend his guys until the bitter end and then frustrate us as we listen to his insane sales pitch. I think this boils down to the Yankees giving LeMahieu every chance to play while they pay down the remaining $30 million on his contract.

My fear is that we are gonna find out the hard way that there isn’t anything left in the tank, just like we did with Donaldson. DJ can struggle and hit .200 and Boone will still pencil him in for every single game. The Yankees are going to stick it out with him as long as they can and count for other guys to compensate for what he lacks.

More Boone babble....but is anyone really surprised?

IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME, AARON BOONE!

Why is this story so big this morning? Oh, well probably because Aaron Boone has never called out a player and this was the first time someone was dogging it, and Boone did something about it.  Does this make him a better manager? Nope, but at least it's making players accountable when they don't hustle.

Boone said that he needed to pull Gleyber in that moment, and it was "that simple".  He called it a learning moment for all of them.  I respect that... but where the hell have you been for 4 years? This is the manager we want.  No player should get a free ride any time.

Gleyber spoke to the press about it. “I think he did the right thing, especially in the moment... As a professional, you have to take the consequences. “For one second, I thought it was a homer. Unfortunately, it [was] just a single... I have to get better. I feel really sorry for whatever I [did] tonight, especially for the fans and also for my teammates.”

I love that Gleyber apologized.

Meanwhile, the best part of it was Joe Girardi was talking about it with Kay in the booth. Girardi was great at holding players accountable and so listening to his analysis is pretty great.  Watch the video above again with the volume up.

But I think the bigger thing for me is that this is what a manager SHOULD do.  And this is what Boone never does.  Why now? What's happened?  I like it, but I want more.  My favorite is the subtitles on this video below:

And that's my point.  We all know that Boone coddles, and Donaldson was a great example of that when he was in NY.  Let's hope this wasn't only a learning moment for Gleyber Torres and the rest of the Yankee players, but a learning moment for Aaron Boone. I have to give him credit on this one even though I can't stand the guy.  It was the right move.

My prediction? Torres will not be in the lineup today, OR, if he is, I hope he's running his ass off.  It would be good to see.

LATEST RUMOR: YANKEES INTERESTED IN REUNION WITH FORMER THIRD BASEMAN

I want a starting pitcher. The Yankees NEED a starting pitcher, but you won't find that good news on your social media feed right now. Instead, I found something else. It's not my first choice but it did bring back some nostalgic feelings.

In addition to solid pitching, we need some hitters because Juan Soto alone isn't going to cut it. The Yankees are interested in a reunion with Gio Urshela, find the details HERE. He may not be that bright shiny stud we have been hoping for all winter BUT the guy can hit and was consistent when he was with us.

Hindsight is 20-20, but now that Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Josh Donaldson are gone it's another example of how dumb Brian Cashman is. Donaldson was never a good move and most of us hated it as soon as the trade happened. Nothing against IKF, he did everything we asked of him but getting rid of Urshela made the Yankees weaker.

In two seasons since Urshela was traded he batted .290 with 54 extra-base hits, including 15 home runs, 88 RBI and four stolen bases. This is the kind of production the Yankees desperately need. He may not be a shiny superstar, but we don't need a lineup of superstars, just guys that can hit. We have a bunch of guys that don't hit or score runs.

If Urshela is healthy again, he could be a nice addition to the lineup. His 2023 season ended prematurely in June after he fell awkwardly at first base and suffered a fractured pelvis.  Thankfully, he didn't need surgery. As good as Soto is, he doesn't save the anemic offense. Urshela's bat is valuable, but he's also a good fielder and a good clubhouse guy, and you can never have enough of those. He gives more versatility to the Yankees. We know DJ LeMahieu is likely to miss time at third and who knows if Anthony Rizzo can bounce back and stay healthy. It's a good depth move, and we always need that.

If the Yankees have no other big moves in their back pocket, this could be a good move for the Yankees. I still want a big splash, but I don't think the Yankees will do it. This does help improve the team and we know what Urshela can do. Of course, there are other teams interested, the Mets, Angels and Marlins but it is believed the Angels and Marlins have made better offers.

Hopefully Urshela wants to come back home. It wouldn't be the move I dreamed of, but we've always loved Urshela.

BEING A FAN WHEN YOU HAVE NO FAITH

The Yankees did it, and I don't know why.

They are taking a chance on a guy that was never a Yankee guy, and now he is because we needed him... clearly out of desperation, all because the Yankees don't have a true gauge on what is going on with this market. There are better guys out there than Marcus Stroman. There are guys out there with less attitude. There are more respected guys out there than Marcus Stroman.  But that's ok... we got Marcus Stroman. I guess Cashman feels good about himself.

I haven't been this deflated about a Yankee team since forever.  I gotta tell ya. I actually contemplated packing Bleeding Yankee Blue up over the last few days. I'm close to done.

I have no idea what Cashman is doing.  There's no leader to hold onto on this team unless you're a Judge or Cole fan.  Soto is terrific, Stroman is fine.  But then what?

So, if you are living under a rock, here's the news on Stroman, a loudmouth thug who cleaned up his Twitter so it didn't have all the Yankee hate on it. Joel Sherman of the New York Post really says it best when it came to the Yankee strategy:

"First, they heard the unsettling prices for Dylan Cease in a trade and Blake Snell in free agency.

They learned all things being equal Jordan Montgomery probably does not want to be a Yankee again.

Wherever else they looked the cost or the medical or the projection was not tempting, causing the Yanks to further bemoan not getting Yamamoto — their first, second and third pitching choice this offseason.

So they ultimately decided they had to get on the board with another veteran starter they believed capable of 150 quality innings..."

And so, what I say to that is "great", 150 innings and an attitude and drama every start? Why do we need that?

Stroman is a guy that was pissed at Cashman for not signing him in 2019 and made that public.  It doesn't help that Cashman is also public and at the time said that Stroman wasn't a difference maker.  He did the same shit when it came to Gio Urshela comparing him to Josh Donaldson. And he shipped Jordan Montgomery out of the Bronx only to see him shine.  He burned a lot of bridges with his public arrogance. That's not leading a team as a GM... that's just idiotic.

But back to Stroman.  When you do that several times, it's a Marcus Stroman that you're left with.  Cashman's out of touch, Stroman's a loudmouth... you really think this is gonna go well over the next few years?

And then what? We got Carlos Rodon who always looks like he's not comfortable on the mound and is still trying to find himself.  The Yankees need to sign a few shrinks this off season too, because I see this going horribly wrong.

And so here I am as the Chief of Bleeding Yankee Blue actually wondering if I really want to do this anymore. I'm sitting here wondering if it's worth my time, Suzie and Jeana's time to continue to write about the Yankees where I have literally lost the passion for.   I forgot what truly being a fan is.  I am confused with our decisions, disappointed in our GM's arrogance and wondering when we will actually climb the mountain again.

I'm at a loss folks... I feel like we all are.

Is Stroman really the answer? Is Juan Soto for 1 year truly the answer?

I don't feel good about 2024. I just don't.

Calling out to my 2 favorite BYB readers,  Mike Darwin... John Rogers... talk me off the ledge.

COULD GIO URSHELA BE BACK IN THE YANKEE MIX?

Please Lord, let it be true.  Cashman made a fatal mistake letting Gio go for Josh Donaldson.

Gio was actually better than Josh Donaldson. The problem with Cashman was his analytics were looking at what Donaldson accomplished in the past and the analytics group wasn't going through a projection process and Gio did so much better than Josh after that trade went down.  Donaldson broke down, Gio was consistent.

Now there's word that Gio could be back in the mix for the Yankees. Empire Sports Media writes:

"Boone already indicated that veteran DJ LeMahieu would start the 2024 season at third base after a good defensive campaign. LeMahieu bounce back after a tough first half of the year offensively, picking things up during the second half following the All-Star break. However, if the Yankees want to bring in support, they may look to former Yankee Gio Urshela as a potential option....

if Urshela can continue hitting with a high batting average and getting on base at a 33% clip, he can be a good utility man to help defensively at multiple infield positions or simply lock down third base if DJ struggles. Urshela has played 4,620.1 innings at third base in his career, logging a .967 field percentage, including 10 defensive runs saved collectively. He posted six defensive runs saved last season over 270 innings, an impressive mark considering the innings limit."

The move makes sense.  Let's get Gio back!

HOT OFF THE PRESS! HERE'S A LOOK AT WHAT'S IN HAL'S "DEEP DIVE" INVESTIGATION

Fans already know this external investigation is really going to tell us how backwards the Yankees are compared to other teams. We know some of the details will be bad.... but I still can't wait to hear the juicy details in it. It's coming, very soon.

According to NJ.com HERE, "massive" changes are coming according to unknown insiders. I usually cringe with these stories that have unnamed sources but, in this case, I'm not hating it. We all know the Yankees are behind the times and have failed for far too long so it's not like this is a stretch of the truth.
So, what's next?

Here's what we know, the "data driven" final report will take a deep dive into four main areas and will compare the Yankees to other clubs. The investigation starts in October and those four areas include: successes and failures of trades in the last decade, success rates of draft picks (including international picks), the number of games and dollars lost to injuries and the state of the minor league systems. I can already imagine how bad the data will look on the number of games and dollars lost to injuries because our current medical staff and strength and conditioning coaches are embarrassingly bad.

Maybe this report is also what Hal Steinbrenner needs to see for him to understand how catastrophic the Yankees analytics department has been. These are the goons that are influencing Brian Cashman to acquire dead weight like Joey Gallo, Josh Donaldson and INJURED at time of trade Frankie Montas. The data will definitely support that Brian Cashman can no longer construct a winning team and should be dismissed.... but I don't think Hal is smart enough to make that move. It's yet another trait he didn't inherit from his late great father.

I do think NJ.com is right about Aaron Boone. I want him gone and I think most of us do, but I do not think we will be that lucky. Aaron Judge is the captain, and Hal is going to be receptive of his feedback. He's already in Boone's corner, and potentially a silent Cashman critic. Judge admits this season was a "major failure" but has not given Cashman the same vote of confidence as he did with Boone. If Boone comes back, he will likely have Judge to thank for that. I just wish his lack of enthusiasm so far for Cashman would lead to his dismissal but that feels like a pipedream.

It's disturbing how the "player's manager" can't get the best out of his players and win.... but he will likely be spared because if Judge and others want him around, that's exactly what will happen.

This team needs a serious reality check and so does Hal. He's about to get it, but will he learn and do anything about it? I want to say yes.... but I don't think he has it in him. A lot needs to change for me to feel good about the direction of this organization again. I pray this is the start.

WHY IS ROWDY TELLEZ TALKING TRASH ABOUT DONALDSON OUTSIDE THE TENT?

We all know that Josh Donaldson is an ego maniac.  Why do we care?  Plus, let's put this into context; Was Josh Donaldson flexing because he's been around baseball forever or was him saying "Everybody knows who I am" a way to say, "I don't want to bother everyone with an introduction."  I guess what I'm saying is... why are we always starting shit? And who the hell is Rowdy Tellez that he is spilling clubhouse banter outside the Brewers tent? What happened to "team" and loyalty and backing each other up?  Sounds like a bitch.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, a few days ago a story came out about Josh Donaldson and him coming into the Brewers organization after being ditched by the Yankees.  Yahoo Sports digs in about it because Rowdy Tellez has a big mouth:

“He came in the clubhouse and walked straight by, and I was like, ‘Hey, when you walk in the clubhouse, you introduce yourself to your teammates.’ And he goes, ‘Everybody knows who I am,’" Tellez said.

“And then, I was like, ‘Yeah, and when you see a former teammate, you say what’s up?’ And he was like, ‘Hey, are you on the seafood diet?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, good one… See food, eat food. Beat you to it.’”

And I guess my question is who cares? We know Donaldson by now, we know his rep. Guys like Tim Anderson hate him, he rubs other players the wrong way and Donaldson could care less as well and so... is this news? It sounds like Rowdy Tellez is just a snitch.

Stories like this are bogus and the people that arrange them to get press are the reason why true journalism these days has taken a back seat.  We are dumbing down America, folks. You're all smarter than that.

Oh, and by the way, if you can't take a seafood joke and need to expose that to a podcast instead of saying something to Donaldson directly when your butt hurt... we got bigger problems. This was a cheap shot against Donaldson... and it's stupid.

Toughen up Rowdy.

SEEING HOW THE YANKEES IMPLODED THIS YEAR, THE LAST THING WE NEED IS THIS GUY!

I liked Mike Trout as a young player, but these days he's just hurt all the time and seems older than 31 years old. Don't get me wrong, I know the Yankees need an outfielder, but taking a chance on Mike Trout when we are riddled with injury already would be absolutely ridiculous.  Yet, it's being floated out there a lot, mostly because it's Mike Trout and because the Yankees stink.  Click bait here we go...

Inside the Pinstripes writes:

"Los Angeles Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout reportedly could become available through trade this upcoming offseason if he asks to be dealt, according to USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale.

"The Los Angeles Angels, perhaps for the first time, are open to trading All-Star outfielder Mike Trout if he indicates to them that he wants out," Nightengale said. "Trout has exclusive no-trade rights and said recently that he wants to have a private conversation with the front office and ownership about their direction."

If Trout actually were to become available, he would make plenty of sense for New York. The 11-time All-Star is one of the best players in and is just 31 years old. Although he has dealt with injuries in recent years, when he is healthy, he still arguably is the best player in baseball. He still has over $240 million left on his contract over the next seven years, but that deal could be somewhat comparable to what Bellinger will receive this offseason."

With all due respect, the idea of Trout on the Yankees with that money attached to him and the idea that he could be hurt every moment scares the hell out of me.  The writer loves the idea of Trout in pinstripes, but have we not learned anything with guys like Giancarlo Stanton or DJ LeMahieu or Josh Donaldson.  Sure Trout is only 31, but he still gets hurt... A LOT. I mean, look at Aaron Judge? We just signed him to that enormous contract, but do you really think for a second that he will fulfill his commitment putting up great numbers for all those years? I love Judge, but it's just not realistic.

To be honest, I like the idea of Cody Bellinger on the Yankees instead. A .317 average right now... 25 home runs and he's turned it around from the Dodgers years where he stalled after his MVP season of 2019.  He's a solid, energetic player that would be useful on the Yankees and he's 27.  The price tag would be big, but this is where Cashman needs to earn his paycheck and make the right deal.

Look, the Yankees need to fix a lot, but I have to say, it's not the players as much as it is the management and front office.  We have the right guys, we just have bad leaders, a terrible coaching staff and a horrendous medical staff.  If you don't give your players what they need to perform, they're not gonna do too well. I firmly believe this, I do.

We will have to see how the month of September shakes out, but trust me, change is coming to the Bronx. Strap in.

FINALLY! STEINBRENNER BLAMES CASHMAN FOR HIS LOUSY TEAM BUILDING STRATEGY!

Do be a good leader, you need to admit the organization's shortcomings.  Gaslighting and lying and acting like bad stuff didn't happen when the entire baseball world can see it is no way to run a baseball team is no way to win.

Admit failure, look at the big picture and come up with a strategy to build a future.  Hal Steinbrenner is not his father, this is true, but what he does have is a demeanor about him where he can sit back, assess the situation and come back with an honest assessment and potential fix. Cashman is not good at this, but talks a good game to the press... kind of like his puppet Boone.  Alot of words... no solution.

The Yankees sucked a week ago, this is true, but the tide has turned and that's a testament to the guys we did NOT trade. And for that, he throws Brian Cashman under the bus. The guy who want's instant fixes and relies too much on big names with no talent.  Guys like Joey Gallo. Guys like Frankie Montas, a hurt pitcher before he even came to the Yankees organization, but a pitcher we took anyway due to no one paying attention in our organization.

The AP writes:

"We’ll learn a lot in September and we’ll learn a lot in the spring,” Steinbenner told The Associated Press as he left the Yankees’ minor league complex in Tampa on Thursday. “That’s why I didn’t want to trade these guys away at the trade deadline. We’ve traded away too many guys the last few years. So, I think it will be exciting.”

What does this tell you? It tells you that Cashman's on notice. Whether the guy gets canned is another story, but for now, Hal is saying "Cashman blew it. I acknowledge it, and I like the way I feel right now as the Yankees leader seeing these kids bring an energy I haven't seen since 1996."

The AP also quoted Cashman:

"“I think we’re all going to be evaluated, including myself,” Cashman said."

Cashman needs to be the dog with his tail between his legs these days.  He needs to worry about losing his job. As Empire Sports Media writes:

"Take Frankie Montas, Joey Gallo, and Josh Donaldson as prime examples of these failed transactions. Montas hasn’t thrown a single inning for the Yankees this year. Donaldson was just cut loose after posting a meager .142 batting average and a .225 OBP across 34 games. Meanwhile, Gallo, who was expected to bring some serious power to the lineup, was shipped off to the Los Angeles Dodgers after accumulating a troublingly high strikeout rate during his stint in the Bronx."

The bottom line is things need to change, and with new life, young energy and a winning streak from the New York Yankees right now with the kids... Dominguez and company... one thing is for certain.  Take a page from the late Stick Michael... "stick" with the youth, DEVELOP THE FARM and let's go win.

JOSH DONALDSON JUST FOUND A NEW TEAM

I didn't see this one coming, but then again, why wouldn't a team grab this guy and see what he can do, they're not paying for it!

It turns out the Milwaukee Brewers are taking a chance on Josh Donaldson and good for them and good for him. MLB Trade Rumors writes:

"Brewers have signed Josh Donaldson to a minor league deal, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The third baseman will report to Triple-A Nashville. By joining the organization prior to September 1, he will be eligible to play for the Brewers in the postseason."

Not a bad move.  Let's see what happens next with this guy!

THE YANKEES JUST MADE A BOLD MOVE WITH HARRISON BADER

I can't believe the Yankees did it, but they did.  The Yankees have just placed Harrison Bader on waivers. This decision comes just as the Yankees released Josh Donaldson.  What the hell is happening right now?

Clutchpoints writes:

"Harrison Bader is among several veterans across MLB who were shockingly placed on waivers Tuesday. The move, which was first reported by Newsday’s Erik Boland...

The move could allow Bader to join a playoff contender. MLB teams will get a chance to claim Bader off waivers before he hits free agency. Bader would have to be claimed by a team before Sept. 1 in order to be eligible to be part of the playoff roster.

Bader’s release certainly reflects poorly on the Yankees’ decision-making regarding the outfielder."

Bader has made it clear that he wanted to remain a Yankee. While that is something that is rarely determined by the player, it does come as kind of a shock to me. Bader was a great defender and a solid hitter with literally just a small recent sample of slumping the past few months. That being said, there are several Yankees that are slumping.  The bottom line though is that Bader is expendable because he's in a contract year.

Bader will go on to go to a contender and make the playoffs... no doubt and good for him.  For the Yankees? They just keep floundering trying to figure out how to fix this team after a disastrous season.

O.M.G.

TURNS OUT GIO URSHELA IS NOT JOSH DONALDSON. HE'S BETTER!

In 62 games with the Angels, Gio Urshela is batting .299 with a .703 OPS. Respectable.  Josh Donaldson batted .142 this year and was out a hell of a lot. I always hated getting rid of Gio, but I was hopeful that Josh Donaldson would have a good few seasons with us.

Defensively I loved Donaldson at third, but I gotta tell ya, defesne was always Gio's strong suit. So, when Josh showed up and literally hit worse than Gio, and still played great defense, I was like "What's the point of this trade?"

Gio shouldn't have been traded away. I remember Brian Cashman's stupid comments about Josh and Gio.

Turns out Josh Donaldson is not Gio Urshela.  This may be the worst trade the Yankees have ever made... right up there with Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps.  Disaster.

You know what I'd love? If Cashman was a man and just came out and said "You know what? I really blew that trade, I regret it, I'm sorry." I think the fans would respect him more.

Donaldson send a note out after being released today.

Look, no hard feelings. This guy's a gamer even though he can't play too well anymore. I wish Josh well.

Oh, and by the way, I was accused of being a total asshole earlier when in my post JOSH DONALDSON GONZO! when I said that I loved today after reporting that Josh got released.  I want to explain. I wasn't being heartless; I was merely suggesting that I loved today because I see movement in the Yankees organization to better the team.  This is a good step.

Anyway, that's that. I can't wait to see what's next. Maybe we can win a few games? How special would that be.

JOSH DONALDSON GONZO!

It about freaking time.  The Yankees have released Josh Donaldson! MLB Trade Rumors has the story:

"The Yankees announced that infielder Josh Donaldson has been released."

And this is Gonzo from the Muppets in his Sunday best.

More to follow! I love today!

I FEEL LIKE NOBODY LIKES BRIAN CASHMAN, EXCEPT HAL STEINBRENNER!

What have you done for us lately, Brian Cashman? Nothing good, that's for sure. I used to think he was creative and adapted to changes within the sport. That was a long time ago. Now he's just dead weight that have made some really bad moves for the Yankees in recent years.

Change is needed in the Yankees organization. It should've happened a long time ago. Hal Steinbrenner, Cashman and Aaron Boone are the experts on how NOT to run one of the richest franchises in all professional sports. They are the best at running a team into the ground and then setting fire to it. This just isn't working.

The last place Yankees with their 56-52 record that are 3.5 games out of a wild card spot and have finally shown us how terrible Cashman's team building skills are. This team would be below .500 without Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole right now. For years we have watched him bring in aged veterans at ridiculous contracts and massively underachieve. He hasn't delivered anything. Yeah, Joey Gallo was such a disaster and so was Aaron Hicks. The Josh Donaldson trade was just stupid and the Yankees as a whole can't hit! We've seen it for years! What about the lackluster inconsistent starting rotation and the compromised defense? Inserting a non-natural outfielder like Isiah Kiner-Falefa only compromises the defense. He doesn't know how to construct a strong team that can win a championship.

By now everyone knows it. We complain about it here. You complain about it on social media, fans are screaming "FIRE CASHMAN!" in the stands and yet Cashman always lives to see another year. I'm sure this year will be no different when all is said and done. Why does failure get rewarded with job security here? Loyalty buys mediocrity apparently. I can't say the same at my job. If my performance was anything like Cashman's, I'd kiss my job goodbye!

There's no accountability here! Ownership has no accountability. The front office has no accountability. Analytics are not analytical at all and have no accountability. Managers have no accountability. Players have no accountability. Yankees medical team along with the strength and conditioning coaches have no accountability. This is just an organization that has run wild with ZERO leadership.

But...we are gonna run a championship with all of this, right? YEAH, sure Hal. Let's stick with the failures. He is the extreme that his father George wasn't. George held people accountable and fired people, Hal wants to hold everyone's hand, sing Kumbaya and have harmony while he is making money hand over fist.

I couldn't care less about loyalty! Brian Cashman has been the general manager since 1998 and has progressively become worse over the years. It's obvious to all of us the the game has passed him by, and he cannot help the Yankees win. He's not capable. It's time to find someone who can.

Only person on Cashman's side is Hal and that is foolish. He needs to step back and think as a businessman and start rebuilding. Then he needs to look at his recent body of work and ask, "is this the guy that can rebuild my team into a World Series champion?" Facts don't lie....and the facts say NO.

NO is the ONLY correct answer here. It's time for Cashman to take a long walk off of a short pier. Nobody likes you anymore, Cashman....
