Curtis Granderson will be ready by May. While it's not a fact, it's very, very possible. If it's not, I'm going to punch someone.
Granderson has a been making progress since he got clocked in the forearm. According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, Granderson said of the situation, "It’s going to be somewhere in May; I don’t know exactly when... Everything is looking pretty good. X-rays have all been good. Everything is feeling good each step that we’ve made. The big thing is that whenever I finally start playing, getting at-bats, getting timing and stuff. Once that day comes, we’ll have a little better evaluation.” The rest of that piece is HERE.
I am looking forward to having Granderson back. But, truth be told, it's going to be interesting as the Yanks hit the trade deadline.
Depending on where our club is around that time, I often wonder if the Yankees will try and deal Granderson for pitching, maybe Cliff Lee perhaps? We'll have our reasoning and our theory on why that's possible later on. And yes, I know, the idea of Cliff Lee in pinstripes may sound ridiculous at this point, but look for our piece on him and why I believe it could work... if the stars align of course. Stay tuned for that.
In the meantime... come on Grandy... come on back, we miss you!
