The hottest player on the Yankees and maybe one of the hottest in all of the American League is Mike Tauchman. Batting .298, Tauchman has certainly taken baseball by surprise but not the Yankees.
“You look at his numbers he had with Albuquerque last year, with Colorado at Triple-A, they were really good numbers,” Thames said. “He just never untapped his potential in the big leagues by being a pinch hitter here, a pinch hitter there," reported the NY Post.
This is what commitment to working hard looks like. The Yankees have unlocked Tauchman's talent simply taking a chance on him and giving him an opportunity to play in the major leagues everyday.

“We just tell him to take his A swing. Because he’s got a pretty good swing when he doesn’t try to force the ball. ‘Go be a hitter. Don’t be a robot hitter. Let your athletic ability take over," Yankees hitting coach Marcus Thames.
Tauchman's contribution to this team is invaluable. He even snatched a home run ball that may have been two rows back last night. He has proven himself. He is willing to go the extra mile and he deserves all of the success he is experiencing.
Go Tauchman!
