It hasn't been easy, but now what we're seeing are the little things... and when many little things cluster, moments happen. We've seen Yankee moments for years. We've seen the big seasons, like 1998. Maybe we remember the magic of 2009 when there were comebacks galore. This year, we've struggled to get there, but sometimes a player of 2 added to the mix offers a "jolt" to a franchise. Maybe that "jolt" gets a team going.
Say what you will about Brandon McCarthy, but he's making it happen out there. He's in the zone and I welcome what he's brought to the table. Vidal Nuno who?
McCarthy went 6, gave up 4 hits and 1 run. He struck out 5. The best part, I purposely watched the game today and NOT his wife's tweets. I did find this one funny though:
I watched the '50 shades of Grey' trailer and read reviews on Brandon computer this morning.. Enjoy those google ads babe @BMcCarthy32

She's a rip.The Yankees scored 4 runs today. In the fourth, Chase Headley singled, knocking in Brett Gardner. In the 5th, Francisco Cervelli and his recent hot bat doubled and Ichiro scored. Then Brett Gardner sacrificed home Cervelli.
Later, that's when Brian McCann had a big RBI double in the 8th.That was a big deal... to him, to the Yankees and definitely to you and me. I feel like this guy's been struggling with the bat. It's a good thing and I hope he starts to get going now... we could definitely use his offense.
Nice day... nice game and the Yanks appear to be rolling. Is that possible?
Final: Yankees 4 - Rangers 2
The Yankees are winning ladies and gentlemen... smile.
