Everybody has a "shit happens" moment and Chris Stewart just had his. It's unfortunate because when the Yankees sent Chris Stewart to the Pirates, the whole idea was he was going to be Russell Martin's back up. Now though, it appears that Stewart will be out and possibly for the season.
According to Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Stewart will require knee surgery. Read that in his tweet below:
#Pirates announce that C Chris Stewart will visit Dr. James Andrews to evaluate right knee injury. Surgery "probable."

Not only that, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish says he could have a torn meniscus. (In Photo: Chris Stewart clearly smiling before he got the news.)
Well, wish Stewart well. We all appreciated what he offered when he was in New York, now it appears the guy will be on the shelf for a bit for the Pirates... Yup, shit happens.
