WISH OUR BUDDY CLAY RAPADA WELL...

I just wanted to mention something important. Anytime someone does something nice for me, I like to return the favor.  I'm good like that.  Besides, when it comes to Bleeding Yankee Blue, if I like you, if you support us, we will bend over backwards to make sure people know just how great you are.  You've seen it with Paul O'Neill, Bob Lorenz, Pete Caldera, Laura Posada, Ty Hensley & his lovely family and most recently Amber Sabathia.  Good people, click on their names, learn about them.

Anyway, not to get off track, but here's an important tid-bit that you can spit out when your buddy says to you, "Hey, how's Clay Rapada doing these days?" You'll be armed with the answer.

Clay signed a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim a few days ago.  I wanted to make sure you knew. I also want to make sure you reach out to him and wish him well. According to the Los Angeles Times: "The Angels have signed veteran left-handed relief specialist Clay Rapada to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.

Rapada, 32, has a 4.06 earned run average in 152 big league games over seven seasons with six teams — the Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians. He has held left-handers to a .164 average."

We are Rapada fans here at Bleeding Yankee Blue.  He's a good dude, a man of his word, a great pitcher and I know that that minor league deal only means he'll be back on top soon.
Clay, you are the man. I wish you well, from everyone here at Bleeding Yankee Blue!

Here is Clay's Twitter handle: @pada5something. Reach out! He's one of the good ones.
