Third Baseman, Eric Jagielo, was number 26 overall, and comes to us from Notre Dame. He hit .310 with 13 home runs, as a sophomore in 2012, and .291, with a .374 on-base percentage during the Cape Cod League that summer. The 21 year old, lefty hitter, has a strong defensive arm, and good speed. He still has some work to do, but he should be ready for the major within 4 years. You can take a look at his Cape Cod stats HERE.
Center fielder, Aaron Judge, from Fresno State, was 32 overall. The 21 year old, righty, was the 2012 winner of the TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby, hitting 16 homers in three rounds. As a sophomore at Fresno, he hit .332. His stats and accolades can be found HERE.
18 year old, Ian Clarkin, was 33rd overall, and comes to us from Madison High School, San Diego, California. The lefty pitcher has a .62 ERA, pitching in 68 innings, in 33 games. His command needs a little bit of work. He has the potential to become a starter, if he can get better command of his pitches. His stats are HERE.
Gosuke Katoh, 18 year old from Rancho Bernardo High School, 66th overall, hit .429 in 35 games. He has a .993 fielding percentage. If everything comes together for Katoh, he could become an excellent second baseman in the majors. Take a look at his stats HERE.
So, these are the newest baby Bombers. Lot's of luck, and success, gentlemen. I look forward to watching you grow, as Yankees, and as ball players.
