With all the inconsistency surrounding the Yankees rotation, and what we now know about the Brewers releasing Randy Wolf, read HERE, the big question is, would you try and sign the 36 year old lefty, and in turn call out Ivan Nova who has been absolutely horrendous as of late? Think about it, maybe we can send Nova down, kind of like last season, "tweak" him a bit and give the veteran Wolf a shot. Worse ideas have surfaced and the way the Yankees rotation looks right now, something's got to give.
Sure, it seems absolutely ridiculous. After all, Randy Wolf had a 3-10, 5.69 ERA with a 1.57 WHIP with the Brewers. He's not exactly affective.
Then again, neither is Ivan Nova right now. At least with Nova, we can send him down, work on him a bit and if Wolf fails in New York, we can easily release him too. This will give us time to see what Nova can do to fix his losing streak and see if Wolf has anything left in the tank. I'm not saying it's the right fix, I'm saying it may be A FIX....temporarily...otherwise, I'm not so sure what else the Yankees can do with the rotation they have.
Hey, we're giving Derek Lowe a shot, right? Sometimes great things come to veterans when they show up on the Yankees late in their career.
It's just a question, I'm not sure of the answer...yet.
