YANKEES STREAK SNAPPED AND MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

The game ended on an Alex Rodriguez pop up.  Now, to be clear, I'm not going to rag on the guy for ending the game, the Yankees have had a ton of opportunities tonight and didn't capitalize, but come on Alex, give me something.  Hey, it could be worse...he could have struck out, you know I hate that...
The Yankees lost 4-3 tonight against the Braves and to tell you the truth, there wasn't much to it.  The Yankees left 9 men of base tonight.  9.  I can see if it was 3 or 4 guys left on base, but it wasn't.  Tim Hudson did well against them pitching only 5 innings.  Face it, I've said it many times, if teams depend on the long ball too much, they forget about situational hitting and hence... 2 for 11 with Runners in Scoring position. That was my Yankees tonight.  Look, I'm not pissed or anything, we just came off a 10 game winning streak, we can easily start that up again tomorrow, I'm just saying, Hiroki Kuroda kept his boys in the game tonight only giving up 4 runs....but the Yankees just couldn't get the runs... that's the bottom line. Kuroda pitched 7 innings, allowed 6 hits and 4 runs. Boone Logan and David Robertson each pitched an inning and did a good job as well.
Raul Ibanez and Nick Swisher had doubles tonight and Swish had 2 RBIs. Ibanez has 2 runs scored.  That's really it.  I mean, there was a hit by Nick Swisher in the 5th inning that went out to Jason Heyward and he quickly chucked it home and pegged out Tex at the plate.
A great throw that if it was off line would have allowed the Yankees to score the 4th run of the game. That didn't happen... Hey, that's baseball.

Also, defensively for the Yankees there was a really hard hit ball in the 6th to Mark Teixeira and it hit off his foot while he was manning 1st base.  Tex could have been seriously hurt and when I hear more on Tex, I will tell you.  I suspect he could be out tomorrow and just be day to day because the way it looked, he may have some bruising. Anyway, that hit scored Chipper Jones and at that point it was 4-3 and the Braves held the Yanks at that point...game over.

So, what do we do now as fans? We come back tomorrow and root for our Yanks. Don't lose sleep over this one, trust me...we're rolling.
