ANDY PETTITTE WILL START FOR YANKEES ON SUNDAY
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman announced that Andy Pettitte will return to the Yankees starting rotation this Sunday at the stadium vs the Seattle Mariners. Cashman said that there's no benefit in Pettitte remaining in the minors.
The former ace of the Yankees retired after the 2010 season and sat out last year. He made a comeback this year in spring training. Cashman says the plan for Pettitte to pitch this weekend could change depending on the weather.
In four games in the minor leagues, Pettitte is 0-2 with a 3.71 ERA.
Welcome home Andy!
