ARE YANKEES TRYING TO TRADE AJ BURNETT?

A very interesting and revealing write up today by the NY Post's George King III. You can READ HIS EXCLUSIVE HERE. King writes the Yankees are shopping AJ Burnett around in trade talks, but the problem is, their seems to be zero interest. And, apparently the Yankees are even willing to pay $8 million of the $33 million Burnett is owed over next two seasons.

If you remember a little over a month ago Brian Cashman was being interviewed about what the Yankees may do during the off season, and when the subject of A.J. came up he was quoted as saying, "IF he's(AJ) with us...". That quote opened some eyes. I know that Cashman came back out a day or two later to say he didn't mean "IF" but to me the writing was on the wall. Cashman doesn't make mistakes when speaking to the press.

Look, Bleeding Yankee Blue supports every player who wears the pinstripes. We have been very fair when it comes to AJ Burnett despite his ineffectiveness. But if the Yankees do land one of the big starting pitching free agents out there then they should look to get whatever they can get for Burnett. I mean, maybe its time the Yankees and AJ part ways. It could be just what the doctor ordered for both sides.
