DON'T LOOK NOW, BUT SABATHIA IS 9-4

CC Monster is doing his thing and no one is noticing just how good he is in the last year of his Yankees contract.  I love it.  Sabathia has always been a leader.  In the past he may have been more vocal and even more productive at times, but now in the end of his contract, he does the work and let's that do the talking.

9-4 for a veteran with one foot out the Bronx clubhouse door is not too shabby, and it's only the beginning of August. I'm happy for him and I just didn't realize it until I was reviewing stats early this morning.  Big props to the big lug.

FOX Sports has this about Sabathia and his appearance against the Jays tonight:

"CC Sabathia has endured some struggles this season against the Toronto Blue Jays — but not at their home park, the Rogers Centre.

The New York Yankees left-hander is 1-1 with a 7.62 ERA against the Blue Jays this season in three starts.

He will face Toronto again Tuesday night in the opener for a three-game series at the Rogers Centre.

In his only start in Toronto this season on June 1, Sabathia allowed one run on five hits while striking out seven over 6 1/3 innings to earn the win.

He is 8-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 13 career starts at the Rogers Centre. In his career against the Blue Jays, he is 16-10 with a 3.61 ERA in 29 starts."

I hope he can continue to prove the doubters wrong and keep racking up wins!

I love this guy!
