Brett Gardner's 2012 Season is done. It was reported by the New York Yankees before tonight's game that Gardy will undergo arthroscoptic surgery to remove "inflamed tissue from his right elbow." Don't forget, Gardy has been out since April 18th.
Here's his season: 9-28 / 2 2B / 3 RBIs / 2 SB / 5 BB / 7 K / .321 AVG
According to Newsday, HERE: 'Team physician Christopher Ahmad will perform the surgery and the team said the procedure will "most likely conclude" Gardner's season.'
Now all eyes will turn toward Shane Victorino who the Yankees have been rumored to be interested in. To be honest, Victorino seems to be the best fit, he's in the last year of his contract and the Phillies just aren't doing very well this season.
Get well soon Brett, we'll see you in 2013.
