HA-SEONG KIM IS THE PERFECT FIT!

I mean, what are we waiting for!

While everyone else is still scratching their heads, wondering which free agent infielder the Yankees might snag, we've been over here at Bleeding Yankee Blue waving our "Ha-Seong Kim" flags since early December. Why? Because we're ahead of the curve, that's why! Plus, it just makes sense, for the team and financially.

Sure, the Yankees have been flirting with a bunch of free agent infielders, but nothing serious seems to be brewing. Why, you ask? Well, we like to think it's because they're secretly plotting a move for Ha-Seong Kim! And guess what? FOX writer Deesha Thosar is now on our bandwagon, calling the Yankees Kim's "best fit" in free agency. No kidding, Deesha!

Thosar put it perfectly: "Despite the flurry of needle-moving additions the Yankees made after they lost Juan Soto to the Mets, they still have a major hole in the infield following the departure of longtime second baseman Gleyber Torres." Enter Ha-Seong Kim—our solution since Day 1.

Kim’s got versatility, he’s got defensive chops, and he’s exactly what the Yankees need. We said it before and we'll say it again: in our BYB masterpiece titled LISTEN TO BLEEDING YANKEE BLUE, WE KNOW HA-SEONG KIM WOULD BE GREAT!, we pointed out Kim's stellar defense and sneaky good offense.

Defensively, Kim’s 2023 Gold Glove speaks volumes. And sure, he’s not the next Babe Ruth with a bat, but a career 99 OPS+ with a .326 OBP? That’s nothing to sneeze at. He’s a “defense-always guy” who turns tough plays into smooth outs and saves more runs than he gives up. Put him in the sixth or seventh spot in the lineup, let him work his magic, and boom! You've got yourself a valuable player who can do it all.

So, Cashman, what’s it gonna take to make this happen? We’re all in, and it’s about time the Yankees make this dream a reality. After all, we’ve been championing this move since December—because here at Bleeding Yankee Blue, we’re just that good.
