It happened in a hot second. The Yankees just upgraded their arms. I guess that statement is up for debate though. I mean Colby White I believe is a solid pitcher with a bright future. He was a 6th round pick for the Rays. But he has struggled with injuries. That being said, the Bronx is sometimes a place known for second chances and success... and that's what Cashman is banking on.

"The Yankees announced Thursday that they’ve claimed right-hander Colby White off waivers from the Rays, who’d designated him for assignment late last week. White has been optioned to Double-A Somerset. The Yankees already had an open 40-man spot after designating outfielder Taylor Trammell for assignment and outrighting him to Triple-A..."Command after injury seems to be the issue with White, but it's something the Yankees hope to fix in White while he's in the minors. We shall see.
