Harrison Bader is a Yankee. This guy exploded on the scene late last season, and he won over the Bronx! His energy and game play is Yankee made, no doubt about it. But the issue with Bader has always been injury. Why? Because the dude does everything hard!
Listen, I won't get on a guy who plays the game hard, but I do worry about Bader long term. That being said, I am thrilled he's in New York and looking forward to him playing with the Yankees this season. But for now, It's "a punch in the face." Bader's words, not mine, but I totally get it. A punch in the face for him, for us fans. We want this guy ready to go, but we have to wait.
"Harrison Bader is also out for the foreseeable future with an oblique injury, as Aaron Boone announced Friday. On Saturday at Spring Training, Bader spoke out on this latest health setback.Via Bryan Hoch:
“Harrison Bader said his oblique injury is “a punch in the face.” No official timetable yet for his return, but he said he’ll come back as fast as he can. Oblique injuries generally take at least four weeks.”
Much like I wrote in RODON EXPLAINS HIS INJURY & RECOVERY SO IT MAKES SENSE!,
"...the recommendation (and he's taking it) is to rest it and be 100% healthy soon."
I said it once and I'll say it again. You want guys like Bader hurt now than when the season is in full effect. Bader is a game changer, energy maker, f'ing gamer!
Get well soon H.B. Let's GO!
