I like Wheeler just like the next guy, but I really don't want it to happen. I feel like it would be a huge disappointment. He has enough time dealing with the pressure in Queens. Do we really think this is the extra arm we need in the Bronx? The dude's 6-6 with almost a 5.00 ERA. That's an upgrade? Come on, man.

"What can the Mets expect to get back for two months (and presumably October) of Wheeler? The Yankees’ No. 4 prospect, Deivi Garcia, who started Sunday’s Futures Game, was promoted this week to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, which is playing at Syracuse — the Mets’ affiliate — through the weekend. Garcia, 20, has a fastball in the 96-97-mph range, and added a more polished slider this season, helping him amass 114 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings, split between Class A Tampa and Double-A Trenton. If the Yankees truly are desperate for another experienced starter, Garcia would figure to be in those trade discussions, as well as Clint Frazier. "
Now look, it's logical that Frazier could be on the move for a few reasons. One, his attitude doesn't seem to fit the narrative of the Yankees. 2nd... there's no room for this dude. But I happen to like Frazier. He's a gamer. Sure, his defense needs a ton of work, but he's a solid player and we can definitely work him in when we need to.
As far as Garcia... I'd HATE to see him go.
But for Wheeler... I just don't want it to happen.
Is this a trade ya'll want? Let me know. Comment and let us know.
I agree, Garcia would be a smarter move if we promoted him up to the roster. Give are kids a chance. Don't see Wheeler as an upgrade and giving up a potential 1 or 2 starter in Garcia
