MAYBIN IS MAKING PROGRESS

Cameron Maybin is working hard to get back into the Yankees lineup... or at least on their bench as that extra spark when we need it.

MLB.com writes:

"Outfielder Cameron Maybin, who has been out since June 23 with a strained left calf, hit live pitching outside Friday at Yankee Stadium as he continues to progress towards a return.

'[He] looked really good,' manager Aaron Boone said before Friday’s game. 'I’ll see how he came out of all this today, assuming ... well.' Maybin was hitting .314 in 42 games for the Yankees this season before the injury."

I was always a Maybin fan, but when he came to New York, he just demonstrated such class and a lot of athletic ability and really helped the Yanks a lot.

When he returns I hope the Yankees continue to utilize him in some way.  Just a good dude to have on our team.
