When the Yankee chips are down due to injury, new stars emerge... and many of them are young who just want their shot. Guess what, they're getting it. If you don't like Domingo German, there is something wrong with you!
The New York Daily News writes this:
"Domingo Germán is here because Luis Severino is not. The young right-hander, however, is pitching like he is going to stick around for a while. The 26-year-old is now pitching like the ace of the staff in his absence...Sunday, Germán picked up his third straight win by dominating the Twins and giving the Yankees a 4-1 bounce-back win a rain-shortened game at the Stadium that was called in the bottom of the eighth inning."
We have to see how long this lasts. Sometimes these youngsters will have a nice winning streak because teams are trying to figure them out. Things could change, but what won't change is the fan base for German. It's awesome to see this guy emerge... especially right now when the Yankees need leaders.
