Looks like Miguel Andujar could be out for a long time and it blows because this guy has a ton to offer to this Yankee team. But that's not all... Giancarlo Stanton is hurt too. And if you really want to hit panic mode… let's talk about Aaron Hicks, Dellin Betances and Didi Gregorius. You know... the important guys we need on our club.
ESPN writes:
"In the hour before their series opener Monday against the Detroit Tigers, the Yankees were handed some of their most serious injury news to date. Miguel Andujar, last year's runner-up in the American League Rookie of the Year voting, was diagnosed with a small labrum tear in his right shoulder."
He's been placed on the 10 day IL, but we all suspect this guy's gonna be out for maybe the season.
Then you have Stanton...
ESPN again here:
"One day after losing their season-opening series to the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees announced Monday that they are putting outfielder Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a left biceps strain."
What happens now? The Yankees will be strategic, and you have to feel alittle good that it's April and it's happening. But hey, we should have swept the O's and we just haven't played too well. So when injury hits this team, you kind of have to feel this anxiousness about the whole thing. I know I do.
Anyway. Alittle update. There you have it.
