SABATHIA'S QUALIFYING OFFER DENIED!

So now what? We'll tell you.

So here's the deal, CC Sabathia wants to come back. In fact it's been reported that 2019 would be his final season. I think the big question becomes is it his last season in pinstripes?

River Ave Blues simply writes the following:

"Did not make CC Sabathia the one-year, $17.9M qualifying offer."

And that's it folks. There is nothing more to report right now, only that the Yanks and Sabathia will come up with a new figure and see if that's what CC will take. Let's not forget that he made $10 million last season.

We'll have to see what happens with Sabathia. As I've stated here numerous times, like Brett Gardner, Sabathia is a team leader and having him in that clubhouse is important. But not only that, CC has reinvented himself and is valuable, even as a #5 starter.  He's important to this team and I actually think that in the end, a deal will be struck between the 2 parties... especially if Sabathia believes he'll hang it up in 2019 anyway.

Hey... we shall see, right?

Stay tuned.
