THREE HEADED MONSTER LAID AN EGG

It's Spring Training and hardly what the regular season will bring, but it's worth noting anyway.  Andrew Miller, Dellin Betances and Aroldis Chapman all pitched for the first time in the same game together, but the outcome was not that great.

NJ.com has the story. Here are the nuggets:

"Miller's inning resulted in two strikeouts but he allowed four hits and two runs. In two outings this year Miller's allowed five hits.

Chapman was yanked from the game Thursday after recording just two outs. He hit two batters, walked a guy, struck out one, and allowed a run. Pitching coach Larry Rothschild said he was "not necessarily" surprised at Chapman's struggles...

Along with Miller and Chapman was right-hander Dellin Betances pitching Thursday, the first time this spring all three have appeared in a game together. (Betances pitched a clean inning, striking out one.) On paper, the trio represents one of the best back-end bullpen units in all of baseball."

And in reality, they will be great.  It's March, everyone chill.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention, because BYB is rarely gonna cover the Spring Training games this season because they aren't very important.  We will bring you nuggets of news though, and this is definitely a nugget.

And yes, folks will ask why Chapman is pitching if Chapman was suspended.  Chapman was suspended for 30 games during the regular season.  Spring Training is not part of that suspension. When the season begins, he cannot play for 30 games.

That's all I got...
