The Yankees like catchers. They like to sign catchers, breed catchers, release catchers and collect catchers. It's not a bag thing... it's just what they do. The Yanks have signed another catcher, this one is Carlos Corporan.

Now Corporan spent time with the Astros, and last year with the Rangers.
With the Rangers in 33 games he batted .178 with 3 homers and 15 RBIs. No question he will try and compete for the backup catching job.
