FIRST GARRETT JONES TO JAPAN, NOW ANOTHER

We all heard about the news involving Garrett Jones and him signing with the Yomiuri Giants this past week.  Read BIG GARRETT JONES GOT A BRAND NEW GIG! for more. Now comes word that another Yankee has signed a deal to play in Japan.  This time it's with the Yakult Swallows. It's Kyle Davies.

Hardball Talk wrote this of Davies. The story came from Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker:

"The 32-year-old appeared in just one game for the Yankees in 2015, hurling 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Prior to that, his last exposure to the big leagues was with the Royals in 2011. If he has a nice season overseas, it could lead to the possibility of a career resurgence stateside for the right-hander."
Davies will do great in Japan. I always liked what he offered, and as I said about Jones, Japan is a great place to almost reinvent yourself.

Wish Davies luck, it's a good move for him.
