A quick note because we're Ty Hensley fans here at BYB. Plus, we appreciate the journey Ty's been on. We met him when he was drafted by the Yankees, we interviewed him then because at the time, there was something we really liked about this kid. We were right... he was driven.
We continued to follow his road to the majors and interviewed him when he had his hip surgery due to an abdominal strain. He reached out to BYB ONLY to do that interview, and we appreciated it very much. We watched him come back and pitch in Staten Island, a huge moment. Then, we stuck by him after he was attacked over the holidays last year.
Then, with his jaw wired shut he still traveled to Tampa to continue his journey to make it to the major leagues. Then, Tommy John surgery happened at the beginning of last season. For many... giving up would cross their mind. Why? Because at that point, the constant pounding would kill anyone's confidence. But not Ty Hensley.
Why am I telling you this? Because ICON Sports just offered the latest glimpse of the Oklahoma kid rehabbing and working to get back on the mound once again. That's right... Ty doesn't quit, he's more determined than ever.
