THE YANKEES ARE MAKING ADVANCES
The Yankees need wins. They need wins every time they're out there. Last night, with the Blue Jays off, it was a chance to advance. We did, even though their AL East topping is difficult. They didn't give up.
Going up against Chris Sale is not easy, but they were able to handle him and what helped was Yankee pitching that kept them in the game. Michael Pineda went 6 innings giving up 8 hits and 1 run. the only other run would be given up by Justin Wilson.
The Yankee hitting, while not racking up 15 runs or anything, were able to score, but it happened on 1 big hit. Thank you Carlos Beltran. In the 3rd, Beltran cranked a 3 run home run. The White Sox would score 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th, but the pen would hold them... and the win.
For Andrew Miller, save number 35.
The Yankees are 3 back of the Blue Jays. ESPN had a headline that read The American League East race feels like it's over. Let me tell you something; Nothing is over until we decide it is. Big quote... big talk. Thank you Bluto.
Final: Yankees 3 - White Sox 2
