MONSTER AROD, MONSTER COMEBACK
The Yankees came back tonight and it was a pretty big deal. Not only that, Alex Rodriguez was a freaking monster tonight. His third homer of the night was what started a rally against the Twins. John Ryan Murphy helped as well. He cemented it. More on that in a moment.
It started out with the Twins scoring 5 runs against Yankee pitching. CC Sabathia was not on tonight. He went 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 5 runs. He was followed by Warren and Miller and both were able to shut down the Twins, or at least give the Yankees an opportunity to score a few runs... and then came the rally.
In the 4th, Alex hit his first homer of the night. It was a solo shot. In the 7th, Alex Rodriguez hit a 2 run home run. That was followed by a Chase Headley sacrifice that brought home Mark Teixeira.
In the 9th, with the score 5-4 Twins, Alex Rodriguez hit a solo shot to tie it. Then, up came John Ryan Murphy who hit a 2 run shot. Just like that, it was 8-5.
Andrew Miller then stepped up and secured save number 23 on the season. I like that... I freaking like that alot.
Big win. We need another tomorrow!
Final: Yankees 8 - Twins 5
