LATE RALLY, NO DICE

The Yankees had a shot last night, but it wasn't enough and with it, the Yanks have lost 4 in a row.

First off, a lot of homers in the game. Mark Teixeira was "on the mark", Prince Fielder knocked out 2, Didi Gregorius, and even Garrett Jones hit his first home run as a New York Yankee.  You gotta feel good about that. He needs to start hitting.

But in the midst of that, the pitching... the hitting, the Yankees lost all control in the 3rd when the Rangers scored 7 runs. That was the inning that did them in. Sure, in the bottom of the 4th, they were able to get 4 runs back... Brian McCann knocked in a run and then came Didi knocking in 3 on his homer.

But it was a struggle.  The Yankees were able to climb back to 10-8 and then, in the 9th, 10-9 on that Tex homer, but no more would follow.

It left Michael Pineda at 5-2 on the season, and the Yanks are now winless again.

Hopefully today, something turns around. CC's on the hill... what do you say big guy?

Final: Rangers 10 - Yankees 9
