WINNING!
I just took a line from Charlie Sheen's "winning" days. Remember him? No, I'm not gonna drink Tiger blood... I will however celebrate a nice Yankees win tonight.
First off, the Yankees pitching held the Rays to just 1 run. That's significant. It means they are kind of good. Not only that... they're kind of great!
Adam Warren gave up a single run in 5.2 innings. He was followed by Justin Wilson, who ended up getting the win, David Carpenter, Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller. Not another run was scored by the Rays. Instead, it was the Yankees that did the damage.
In the 5th, Brett Gardner walked with the bases loaded. One run scored. Then, in the 6th, Brian McCann hit a solo shot. That was followed by a Stephen Drew double knocking in another.
In the 8th, Jacoby Ellsbury was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and just like that, the Yankees had 4.
Miller closed the door with now his 8th save.
Winning. The Yankees are doing it. I'm feeling pretty good right now, how about you?
