WHITLEY STRONG. RYAN HURT. OFFENSE FLAT.
Chase Whitley struck out 6 today in 4 innings of work. The End.
Seriously... nothing on the Yankee offense front at all today. Oh yeah, Brendan Ryan strained something. According to MLB.com, " Yankees shortstop Brendan Ryan had to be helped off the field in the sixth inning with what was deemed a right calf strain, sustained after trying to barehand a Kevin Kiermaier chopper that produced two Rays runs on the error."
It's unfortunate. We like Ryan here at BYB. It just seems like the guy has a string of bad luck when it comes to injury. As this point we have no idea how long the guy will be out for, if at all, but it sounds like it could be a serious injury. We'll wait and see.
I wish I had more for you... but this is lame. Sorry. Will you forgive me?
Final: Rays 3 - Yankees 0
