YANKEES DROP HAMMER ON THE TIGERS
11 runs to the Tigers 2. That's a good day in Florida, regardless if it's Spring Training or not. I like when my Yankees win.
As MLB.com put it:
"Adam Warren made a strong statement in his bid to land a starting gig and Alex Rodriguez hit his second homer of the spring on Friday as the Yanks rolled to an eventual 11-2 victory over the Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium."
But that wasn't all. Reading M Live, it was a major assault by the Yankees:
"The first three batters of the game tripled, doubled and singled -- all on balls that were well hit -- against (Alfredo) Simon. Rob Refsnyder hit a two-run home run later in the inning to cap off a six-run rally for the Yankees, who had four extra-base hits in the first inning."
All in all, a big day for the Yanks. They are truly working out the kinks... I like what I'm seeing.
Final: Yankees 11 - Tigers 2
