According to the Associated Press, "Eovaldi gave up two hits over four shutout innings... Eovaldi retired seven in a row before Cameron Rupp flared a single to center in the third. Cody Asche singled to center during the fourth.
'For the most part I was able to throw all four of my pitches,' Eovaldi said."
Gotta love it. I'm now officially pulling for Nathan Eovaldi. I feel like he has what it takes to pitch in the Bronx.
The star today was Chase Headley. He homerd when we needed him most, in the 7th. After that, nothing but a Yankee win.
Nice to see. And yes, seeing more wins only makes me happy. Yup, it doesn't matter... the wins don't count, but the kinks are definitely being worked out. Gotta love it.
Final: Yankees 3 - Phillies 2
