DOMINANCE... AND THE YANKEES BE ROLLIN'

Oh yeah... and Masahiro Tanaka is on fire!  He's 10-1. TEN AND ONE! It's terrific.

The Yankees needed to win 2 in a row. Hell, the Yankees need to now win 10 in a row.  They need to start chipping away... they need the big hit, the big home run, the big rally... the big anything!  Hopefully 2 wins against the Mariners is the start of it.

Tanaka went the full 9 and gave our pen a break.  He gave up 6 hits and 2 runs.  Outstanding.

The run scoring went like this:

In the 3rd, Jacoby Ellsbury singled and knocked in Brian Roberts.  In the 5th, Mark Teixeira homered... his 11th. A 3 run shot. Atta boy Tex.

For the Mariners, Robinson Cano homered in the 9th. His first in front of Seattle fans, if you can believe that. Read CANO FINALLY HITS FIRST HOMER AT SAFECO. No joke.

So now... it's on the the next one...

Final: Yankees 4 - Mariners 2
