YOU KNOW COLE KIMBALL? THE YANKEES DO
This isn't a major move, but it's an important one in the Yankees pursuit of stockpiling arms and increasing competition come Spring training among theirs pitchers.
The Yankees have signed right handed pitcher Cole Kimball to a minor league deal.
The last time and only time Kimball pitched in the pros, it's been with the Washington Nationals in 2011. Back then, he pitched in 12 games, pitched 14 innings and had a 1.93 ERA. He needed rotator cuff surgery after that which is why we haven't seem him as of late, but he was working his way back and pitched in the minors in 2013 pitching in 25 games and compiling a 7.31 ERA.
He's 28 years old and he's got a ton of spunk.
I see potential and growth here. I know you probably don't, but I believe in stockpiling arms and seeing what these guys can do in a competitive setting. No doubt he can help.
Welcome Cole, welcome to the Bronx.
