HOW THE TANAKA SIGNING WENT DOWN

This is fascinating because it brings us inside the play-by-play about how the Masahiro Tanaka signing went down for the Yankees.  Brian Cashman was interviewed by Bob Lorenz on YES Network after it happened and let's just say, it's very, very interesting and strategic.  I love this stuff. Often you think that the Yanks have their head in the clouds, but it's amazing how long they planned this out!

The way Cashman talked about the videos that they played for the Tanaka presentation featuring Hideki Matsui and the MTV type "cribs" video as well, plus all that you can get as a New York Yankee...let's just say, it's literally a sales pitch and I would have loved to be inside that meeting.

The Yankees did a great job reeling him in. So glad that Hideki was involved.... very strategic on the Yankees part.

Enjoy this interview if you haven't heard it already.  Real interesting... I'm psyched to see what Tanaka does in the Bronx. Plus, it gets me excited about Spring Training.
