The Yankees aren't putting #24 in a drawer somewhere with #20, #21 and the others. Nope. #24 has been given out to Scott Sizemore, Cano's old number, according to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News:
Scott Sizemore was assigned No. 24, previously worn by Robinson Cano.

OK then. Oh and if you're curious about Phil Hughes #65 and Joba Chamberlain's #62... they're taken too:
Robert Coello was assigned Joba Chamberlain's No. 62, while Zoilo Almonte was given Phil Hughes' No. 65.
