MICHAEL PINEDA IS ON FIRE!

The rehab of Michael Pineda is coming along wonderfully.  According to ESPN, HERE, Pineda "threw four innings in his third rehab start for Class A Tampa on Thursday night."

Not only that, he gave up only  2 runs, 5 hits, walked 1 and K'ed 3.  ESPN goes on to say "Brian Cashman said earlier this week that Pineda has been throwing in the mid-to-low 90s, and the GM has been happy with his rehab progress so far."

You have to realize that this is a great thing.  If Pineda can get healthy and live up to the hype, this guy is the future in the starting rotation for the Yankees... he only 24 years old.

Maybe we move him in... and we move Phil Hughes into the bullpen.  Just thinking out loud now...
