Clay Rapada is back. It's being reported by Andy McCullough of the Star Ledger, HERE, that Clay Rapada has returned to the Yanks, signing a minor league deal. Now comes speculation that they are either sick and tired of Boone Logan being ineffective against lefties or, maybe they just want 2 lefties in the pen eventually. Hey, if I had to choose, I'd go with Clay Rapada and Vidal Nuno, but that's me.
The report says: "During the first week of the season, lefty reliever Boone Logan twice lost battles with Tigers slugger Prince Fielder. Manager Joe Girardi tends to like having an extra left-hander in his bullpen. "
I remember when we here at Bleeding Yankee Blue wanted an extra lefty in the pen. Read THE EXTRA LEFTY THE YANKEES NEVER HAD from way back in 2011.
