BREAKING: JETER'S NEW SHOE

This is a walking boot.  There are many like it, but this is Derek's and it will be on his foot on Thursday when he has a press conference to talk about his ankle injury.  Yes, that right, the same injury that he told the press he was tired of talking about. Hey, when you are as iconic as Derek Jeter, you need to speak out, especially if you have a setback.

ESPN is reporting the following: "New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman confirmed Tuesday that Jeter, whose ankle was immobilized for weeks in a boot after he underwent surgery in October, would be placed back in the boot by Dr. Robert Anderson, the Charlotte, N.C.,-based foot and ankle specialist who performed the operation." Read the full piece HERE by Wally Matthews.

We'll have extensive coverage about Jeter on Thursday, no doubt there will be a ton of questions.  Bottom line, I just want the Captain back!
