Yahoo's Jeff Passan says on Twitter, HERE, that Rafael Soriano and the Washington Nationals have agreed to a 2 year deal worth $28 million. Bottom line, I enjoyed Soriano while he was in pinstripes and I wish the guy well. Not only will he be good in Washington, he'll be closing, something he wanted to continue doing.
The way it works now is simple. The Yankees will get a compensatory selection pick and the Washington Nationals lose a draft pick for signing Soriano.
Tip you cap to RaSo, he did good for us and now we turn the page.
Finally, I'll leave you with an old story courtesy of Andrew Marchand of ESPN who did a piece a while back on Soriano when he discovered that his favorite song was Sweet Caroline (Read WHY SORIANO'S MORE LIKEABLE THAN I THOUGHT)... maybe Sori should have went to the Red Sox.
