CC SABATHIA DOES HIS PART AFTER HURRICANE SANDY

(In Photo: CC, Amber Sabathia their son in Hoboken)
I meant to post these great pictures the other day because the Yankees posted them and they are important.  It's CC Sabathia today in Hoboken (above), but then earlier in the week it was Joe Girardi and CC and a ton of volunteers at Yankee Stadium collecting goods for people who just lost everything after Hurricane Sandy. According to Steven Miller at MLB.com, "The PitCCh In Foundation started its day at the HOPES Community Action Partnership in Hoboken, distributing the products of a shopping spree earlier in the week. The Sabathias purchased non-perishable food items, diapers, baby wipes and formula along with jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and pajamas for infants and young children." Read more HERE.

When I see people stop their busy days and do something for the less fortunate, you really have to applaud them and that's why I wanted to show you these images, it's the positive in human beings that makes the world go 'round.  That's why I admire guys like Ray Negron and David Robertson and even Chris Dickerson (who co-founded an organization called Players for the Planet).  They are doing their part, not because they have to, but because they want to.
Read what Ray Negron is doing on November 29th at 7:30pm at the Tilles Center at CW Post to help the victims of Sandy.... read RAY NEGRON TAKES CHARGE JUST LIKE STEINBRENNER DID BEFORE HIM. I love when people who are out there as public figures decide to grab a cause by the horns and help others, be it after Hurricane Sandy, or in saving the planet or even just handing out free Yankee tickets to kids who can't afford them. Everything counts and you need to tip your cap.

Anyway, check out the pictures below of CC and Joe helping out after Hurricane Sandy.  And share this post. Let people know just how important giving back to the less fortunate is!
