IS CUST THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY?

Many Yankee fans were excited to see what Jack Cust would offer the Yankees when he signed a minor league deal with them earlier this year.  Many of us assumed he would be up.  Well, he never came up.  On Wednesday he was released by the Yankees.  We wrote about it in JACK CUST, COLIN CURTIS RELEASED.

While Cust was in Scranton, he batted .249 with 20 home runs in 337 at bats.  It's also important to tell you that he struck out 127 times.

Well, in case you didn't know, we can now tell you that since his release  from the Yankees, the Toronto Blue Jays have decided to take a chance on him and have signed him to a minor league deal. Susan Slusser has that Tweet HERE.

Look, I wish the guy well. It would have been fun to see the guy in pinstripes but there's no room for another guy that strikes out alot and only hits home runs.  Maybe it's a sign that the Yankee brass wants to get things moving with the pieces we have. Whatever the case, good luck to Cust, we wish him well with whatever teams he ends up with by the end of the season.
