CLIFF LEE IS CLAIMED OFF WAIVERS, PULLED BACK

UPDATE:  The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Lee, but the Phillies pulled him back. Read Heyman HERE. The Dodgers did get Joe Blenton from the Phillies in exchange a player to be named. Read HERE.

The latest about Cliff Lee is that he has been claimed off waivers by a "Mystery Team". Jon Heyman has that HERE. Right then and there you need to ask WHO? I don't know, but I think I know who it isn't.  I don't believe the Yankees are in that mix, then again, Brian Cashman has fooled me before.

The San Francisco Giants have made moves lately at the trade deadline picking up Hunter Pence, maybe they're interested in Lee.  How about the Los Angeles Dodgers? They are clearly making a move to improve their club down the stretch adding Shane Victorino.  Maybe the Texas Rangers? Cliff liked the Rangers but liked the money more when he bailed for Philadelphia.  How about the Red Sox? Anything they do I hate and this is something they may do. Maybe the Baltimore Orioles? They are breathing down the Yankees neck right now.  Look, all of this is interesting. I don't have the answer yet, but we'll know soon enough.

The most important part of this waivers stuff is it's not over.  The Phillies can now pull Lee back or they can negotiate with whatever team chose him.

But let me ask you this, if it was the Yankees, would you be happy? annoyed? Think about it...comment.
