WHY THESE ARE NOT MY NEW YORK YANKEES

My Yankees are winners.  My Yankees live for the dramatic, or hit in the clutch.  Maybe we even keep it interesting until the end and then,we shut down the competition.  No...something's not right. It almost seemed like when David Robertson blew that now "World Famous Save" opportunity last week, nuggets of unhappiness have been lingering around Yankeeland to the point where I'm beaten down.

Sure, one can suggest that it all started when Joba Chamberlain got hurt on a trampoline or when Mariano Rivera tore his ACL or even when Phil Hughes and Freddy Garcia had there spring battle of  "Who Sucks more?"  It almost seems like a curse, although, I find that hard to believe...we're the Yankees, not the Red Sox.

The Yankees just can't get it together right now, and now the big news is, we can't hit and score a run to save our life.  Do you realize that we've scored 2 runs in 2 games? Do you realize the Blue Jays have scored 12? What the hell guys?  I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, that can't be possible, right?  Well, it is.

The Yankees suck right now and I have no idea when this funk will end.  One would suspect (and when I say "one", I mean me) that Andy Pettitte is the guy that will turn it all around for us, read WHY PETTITTE "THE LEADER" WILL TURN THINGS AROUND.  It's Andy, that one glimmer of hope. That pitcher to keep us in the game so we can score some runs and build alittle confidence...maybe even a winning streak.

Tonight, the Yankees scored 1 run on 5 hits...that's it. Curtis Granderson had 2 hits tonight, one of them a double.  Robinson Cano got the RBI tonight scoring Grandy and that was in the 1st inning.  I wish there was more to tell you about offensively, but to be honest, there's nothing...the Yankees need to regroup.
On the pitching side, Phil Hughes went 5.1 innings, gave up 7 hits and 2 runs.  I would have liked him to pitch deeper into the game, but what the hell are you going to do, it's just the way things are going right now for the Yanks. Cory Wade pitched 1.2 innings and he was the one who gave up the other 2 runs. Just not a good night.
The only thing better would have been if Alex Rodriguez was walking around Toronto again with a hot blonde... at least that would have been more exciting.

Final Score: Blue Jays 4 - Yankees 1.

These are not my New York Yankees Ladies and Gentlemen...and I'm not too happy.  It's losing streaks like this, that I think to myself, "What would Jorge Posada do to get this team motivated?" Jorge...where are you?
