WHY JOSE CAMPOS IS ON THE SHELF

This is a shocker, but with all the injuries happening to the Yankees lately, it's no surprise.

That being said, Jose Campos was dominating the competition before his fifth start for the Charleston River Dogs, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.22 ERA, but on April 28 against the Hickory Crawdads (Single-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers) Campos got lit up to the tune of eight runs in 2.2 innings pitched. Something had to be wrong injury-wise during that outing, because he should never give up eight runs against Single-A completion.

In fact, there is an injury. Campos was placed on the 7-Day DL for some sort of elbow injury, as he complained about it after his disastrous start against Hickory. Read HERE.

Hopefully Campos’ stint on the disabled list won’t be too long, but since he’s in Low-A we likely won’t hear much info until he comes back or he needs surgery.

Keep checking back here on Bleeding Yankee Blue for any updates on Campos.
