As you’ve probably heard, the “Core 4” will once again be up to 2 members today. Yes, Dandy Andy Pettitte’s comeback will come to fruition on what is supposed to be a lovely spring Sunday in the
Bronx. This couldn’t come at a better time for the Bombers. The old adage is that pitching wins championships and back in Spring Training everybody was obsessing over how the Yanks were shoe-ins with their abundance of pitching….. How’s that worked out so far?
- CC Sabathia: A slow start, but now dominant
- Hiroki Koroda: Which day is it? A good day or a bad day?
- Ivan Nova: High ERA, but is starting to look like the dominant guy he was in 2011.
- Phil Hughes: Looked good the other night and had a great day yesterday, but is it a fluke?
- Freddy Garcia: Looked lost as a starter. Maybe he can help the taxed bullpen.
- David Phelps: Looks good, but I need to see more
- Michael Pineda: See ya next year buddy.
