UPDATES ON DAVID ROBERTSON & MARIANO RIVERA

I have just a few nuggets for you on David Robertson and Mariano Rivera.  First is DRob and it's being tweeted by Dan Barbarisi of the Wall Street Journal that Robertson will in fact NOT be ready when he gets off the Disabled list after the 15 days.  It's being reported that he'll need more time.  Read that HERE.

That sucks, but look, you can't risk a situation of him getting re-injured, we need him.  Once the time is up we'll protectively give Robertson a few more days to "feel" good and hopefully that extra time will do the body good.  For the Yankees right now, it's more about the hitting than the pitching.  They can afford to hold Robertson alittle longer if need be.
As for Mariano Rivera, Mo is walking without crutches after his torn ACL, but he has a blood clot which he is taking blood thinning medicine for.  There are going to perform surgery, but no date has been set as of yet.  Read that HERE.

If any new developments happen, Bleeding Yankee Blue will bring it to you.  These 2 guys are important pieces to the Yankees puzzle and we need them back healthy.  It is crazy to think that today I gave you 3 different stories about injuries affecting the New York Yankees, but it's true.

You can also read about Brett Gardner and his MRI HERE as well as Manny Banuelos and Eduardo Nunez injuries HERE.

The bright side is it can only get better. Hang in there Yankee fans!
