"Last week, Cashman had all of his professional scouts in for three days of meetings, going over every possible player who could be available via free agency or trades.
Later this week, he will head to Tampa for the team's organizational meetings."
Read the full story HERE. Don't worry Ladies and Gentlemen, it's getting done....soon.Roy Oswalt: Oswalt is a free agent after the Philadelphia Phillies declined his $16 million option. Read HERE. To me, this is a no-brainer for the New York Yankees. Oswalt is a quality starter and can easily fill the back end of the Yankee rotation in the 3, 4 or 5 spot. Yes, the Yankees could try and keep Freddy Garcia, but don't forget, Garcia could also be slated as a long man if he is signed in the spring and doesn't look good. Garcia just wants to pitch and while he got a nice taste of being a starter again, I think he'd take any place on the roster, as long as he was with the Yankees again.Andruw Jones: There is talk that the Yankees, who liked what they saw in Jones, could bring him back as their 4th outfielder again in 2012. This season Jones hit .247 with 13 homers and 33 RBIs. I was happy with the guy. I say bring him back.Francisco Cervelli: The Yankees are willing to trade Cervelli and there is a connection to the Pirates. Back in August, reports were that the Pirates almost traded Brad Lincoln for Cervelli. That report is from Bucs Dugout HERE. I like Cervelli but with all this new talent in catchers coming up, there just isn't any room. I wonder when this will go down, because I have no doubt, it's going to. Read Joel Sherman's piece HERE.Mark Teixeira: Finally, Yankees Fans Unite has a good piece about the decline of Mark Teixeira and is there cause for concern. Read it HERE. Also, check out their Spanning the Yankee Blogs portion of the site. We get a nice mention. Thank you.
