Today was a great win for the Yankees. First off, I told you Curtis Granderson would feed off of Teixeira in my vision for a Yankees home run race. He cranked out his 22nd homer today. Wonderful stuff, they need to keep it going to keep me happy here at BYB.

Robinson Cano hit a 2 run triple and Nick Swisher knocked him in with a sacrifice. To me, this is fundamental baseball plain and simple. You have to love the way the Yankees are playing. We're not only hitting homers, we're playing actual baseball. I am telling you, I have a gut feeling about this year right now. I have the same feeling I felt in 2009. Things seems to be working every game and I just hope it continues.

Eduardo Nunez knocked out a homer in the ninth today. Gee, this kid has a good bat, doesn't he? I wish that would translate to his fielding. Dom Amore from the Hartford Courant says the same thing I say. If Nunez made less errors and was less sloppy, this kid would be an all around great athlete. I know I sound like I'm down on Nunez, I'm not, I'm just not won over yet. But that can change.
Final Score today: Yankees 5 - Mets 2.
Freddy Garcia goes tomorrow against R.A. Dickey. I'm excited to see Freddy go tomorrow. I smell a sweep, do you?
